A family of modern-day cowboys has a mission: to continue raising their cattle without harming the ecosystem. Giulio and Francesca want to regenerate the soil of their farm that is currently undergoing a process of desertification and to counter the effects of climate change, in order to leave a sustainable business in the hands of their two children, 13-year-old Brando and 6-year-old Brianna. While seeking economic resources from investment funds that question their ethical vision, they are faced with attacks from the wolves that decimate their herd and force them to find new ways of coexisting with the forces of nature. Things that happen on earth relates the difficulties they have and their perseverance in the face of a small revolution.

DISTRIBUTION
After its world premiere at the IDFA in Amsterdam and the award it received at Houston Film Festival, Festival dei Popoli and Libero Bizzarri, the film continued its distribution in Italian theaters thanks to the support of the Regione Lazio through the Lazio Terra di Cinema initiative and the cultural circuits linked to the FICE Italian Federation of Arthouse Cinema. This path allowed the work to reach the public through over 100 screenings in theaters and special events within festivals dedicated to the environment, consolidating the cultural and territorial value of the project.
