Solid Light Festival emerged in 2015 as ROmap, driven by the desire to establish a public and inclusive cultural landmark for the city of Rome. Our light art initiatives have drawn thousands of spectators into the urban landscape, creating a distinctive dialogue between historical heritage and futuristic vision, while fostering a vibrant and inspiring image of the capital. Since its inception, the project has welcomed over 400,000 attendees and produced more than 20 site-specific events, including monumental video mapping, performances, and light installations. The Pantheon, Circus Maximus, Piazza Navona, and Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana are just a few of the iconic locations we have transformed throughout the years. In 2018 and 2019, we invited the vanguard of international light art to Rome for an immersive experience focused on heritage research. Laszlo Bordos, Romain Tardy, Onionlab, Ouchhh, None Collective, and Darklight Studio are among the digital art stars with whom we have collaborated.
