Urban-map

Urban_map transformed the urban spaces of the Tor Sapienza neighbourhood over the 2015 spring equinox weekend through multi-sensory installations, architectural light projections and an exclusive travelling concert. Artists from the French collective Coin and the musician Nohista presented the national premiere of their installation, comprising 256 helium-filled balloons which, illuminated by LEDs and moved by the wind, created a striking visual effect of great impact and charm. The music of Errichetta Underground, a well-known Roman orchestra, accompanied the audience with an innovative travelling concert characterised by sounds influenced by Klezmer and Balkan traditions. The facade of the church in Tor Sapienza was brought to life by projection mapping by the Roman collective Neocortex, creating a spectacular synergy of colours, sounds, lights and images. Urban_map transformed the entire Ater complex in Tor Sapienza into an innovative open-air arena, within which some of the most innovative contemporary artistic expressions engaged in dialogue.
